Thomas Lagalante
Thomas Lagalante has worked with a large variety of different clients with different cultural backgrounds and presenting concerns. Thomas is particularly skilled with working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, having both lived experience as a member of the community and clinical experience working with clients of many varied sexual and gender identities. Thomas has experience working in a variety of settings, such as outpatient community mental health clinics, a partial hospitalization program, and an inpatient psychiatric unit.
Having earned his master's degree in social work from Stony Brook University, Thomas’s educational background has provided him the tools to both serve his clients individually, as well as hold space for macro and social justice related concerns that might be contributing to the challenges his clients are facing.
Thomas’s experience with working with trauma and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders allows for him to create a safe space where any client can comfortably share any worrying thoughts or experiences they’ve had without fear of judgement. Through his work, Thomas has shown his devotion to helping his clients develop a fuller and happier life.
