Nyra Serrant
Nyra Serrant has experience working with clients ages 9 to 70 from a multitude of backgrounds. Nyra has clinical expertise in transitional phases, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, ADHD, multicultural and intersectional identities, and boundary setting/maintenance. Nyra is especially drawn to clients seeking out therapy for the first time, seeking skills to handle adversity and building relationships that encourage acceptance, growth, and change. Nyra was born and raised in the Commonwealth of Dominica and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Binghamton University. She completed her Masters in Social Work at Hunter College. Nyra uses a combination of approaches and evidence-based tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Strengths-Based Approach.
My goal as your clinician will be to create and maintain a client centered safe space where you will be free to speak on your unique experiences, explore, and work through the challenges of life.
