Melissa Hallman

I believe in the individual's unique experience. We all have parts of ourselves that we don't recognize, don't understand, or simply feel we cannot change. In our nonjudgmental, safe space and with you as the captain, we will discover what is causing the difficulties in your life, and how you can grow into a more fulfilling way of living. At times, I will challenge you to dig deeper, but I will support you every step of the way.I facilitate a safe nurturing space for you to develop authentic confidence in your life to make the transitions and changes that are important for you . As finding the right therapist can feel daunting. I encourage you to trust your intuition and find someone with whom you truly resonate.

My areas of specialty include anxiety and depression, family systems, life cycles, identity and self-esteem, substance abuse, interpersonal effectiveness, cultural identity, relational difficulties, trauma, LGBTQ and gender identity. I use a psychodynamic foundation and draw upon various evidence-based tools including ACT, CBT, DBT and mindfulness-based work to personalize treatment given your unique needs. Through exploration and increasing self-awareness, we will identify and restructure the negative patterns that contribute to your distress while also building upon your inherent value.

No matter what brings you to therapy, my goal is to empower and equip you with tools to navigate the difficulties of daily life. Having the right support to assist you on your journey is everything! I'd be delighted to be your cheerleader and accountability partner in this process.
