Catherine McManus

Catherine McManus has experience working with clients from ages 6 to 84 years old.  She has worked with varying demographics and mental health diagnoses. Catherine specializes in helping individuals that struggle with anxiety, depression, confidence issues, codependency, self-esteem struggles, boundary issues, and relationship struggles. Catherine has a special interest in working with those who struggle with PTSD and grief. Her goal is to help clients gain insight, feel heard and supported, identify strengths, develop skills to help cope with life stressors, and build autonomy. Catherine received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Scranton and her Master of Social Work from Fordham University. Throughout her time in college, she was able to explore different avenues of the social work field through volunteer opportunities and internships. She has used a range of treatment approaches including Strength-Based, Cognition Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical (DBT), Person-Centered, and Mindfulness-Based (MBCT). She believes in the importance of tailoring treatment based on the goals and needs of each individual client. Catherine emphasizes the importance of rapport, collaboration and having clients feel comfortable and safe throughout the therapeutic process. She is dedicated to empowering individuals and helping clients make positive changes in their lives.
